Biofiller
What is Biofiller?
Biofiller is an organic alternative to synthetic fillers, with many advantages over traditional dermal fillers. It is an “autologous aesthetic procedure,” meaning the product uses the patient’s cells or tissue. Platelet-rich plasma is prepared as a gel to add plumpness to areas with lost volume while smoothing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This safe and minimally invasive treatment can help you achieve noticeable improvements without the risks of surgery or synthetic ingredients.

IPRF, or Injectable Platelet-Rich Fibrin, is an advanced form of platelet therapy that utilises the body’s own regenerative abilities to promote tissue healing and regeneration. Unlike traditional PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma), IPRF offers a more robust and longer-lasting concentration of platelets, growth factors, and fibrin, which can support tissue repair, collagen production, and reduce inflammation.

Before the procedure, the skin is anaesthetised with lidocaine ointment to provide maximum comfort during treatment. In preparation for the biofiller treatment, a blood sample will be collected and placed into a centrifuge to isolate the platelets. Plasma-rich platelets (PRP) get extracted from the blood sample and heated (then rapidly cooled) to solidify into a gel.
After the treatment area is disinfected, the biofiller is injected. Immediately after the procedure, the skin may appear swollen and possibly flushed. This resolves in the hours following treatment.
The targeted condition/s will improve over time as a result of regenerative processes.
