PDO thread lift treatments can cause some discomfort, but a local anaesthetic is used to numb the area before insertion. The procedure involves minimal pain, with patients often describing it as a mild pulling or pressure sensation. After the treatment, some mild discomfort, swelling, or bruising may occur, but this is temporary and typically resolves within a few days.
Common side effects include swelling, bruising, and redness at the treatment site. These side effects are temporary and usually subside within a few days. There is a small risk of infection or thread migration, but these are rare and can be minimised by following aftercare instructions closely.

Full treatment time depends largely on the area (or number of areas) being treated, we estimate approximately 45 mins per treatment area.
It varies greatly, depending on which treatment you choose and what concern you’re targeting. For example, one of our most advanced treatments, PCL threads, can stimulate collagen production for up to 24 months following treatment, while our PLLA threads may last up to 18 months while delivering unparalleled hydration to treated areas, and PDO thread lifts may last up to 9 months. Again, this depends. Our PLLA threads offer exceptional results with improved hydration of the skin and almost no inflammatory reaction to the surrounding tissues, while our PCL threads offer the greatest longevity with results.
