Trend Spotlight: Brow Lifts
Brow lifts have now progressed beyond the limitations of invasive intervention. Read on to discover innovative and minimally-invasive ways to address this concern.
Anti-Wrinkle Injections (Botox)
One of the most common, and well-known, types of brow lift is the ‘Botox brow lift’ that uses botulinum toxin, injected into the corrugator muscles on the forehead, causing the area to relax, reducing forehead wrinkles and resulting in a higher brow arch. The procedure can be used in tandem with dermal fillers, or fillers can be used as a stand-alone treatment resulting in subtle restoration of the brow fat pads, which can greatly enhance the arch of the brow and re-volumise the brow areas.
This is a minimally invasive treatment that uses ultra-fine, lightweight suture threads placed under the skin via a small cannula to gently pull the brow outwards and upwards. The threads will gradually dissolve in time, whilst the tissue around them works to stimulate and increase collagen production to retain the lift and build a long-term rejuvenation and tautness, slowing the formation of drooping skin, fine lines, and wrinkles. The combination of a thread lift with botulinum toxin can create a beautiful, natural, and long-lasting result.
There are also aesthetic devices that can be used to achieve the lifted-brow effect. This includes but is not limited to, our Jett Medical Plasma Pen.
Our patients only require a single session, that takes between 45-60 minutes for a full face and neck treatment and works wonders on lifting the brow! The procedure has little downtime when compared with surgical alternatives, and patients can return to a normal routine immediately afterward. The results of this treatment can last up to 5 years and continue to improve over time. We are thrilled to be one of the first clinics in the UK to offer this technology on our menu.
The brow has a greater impact on the face than most people realise, and can often display the tell-tale signs of premature ageing, as skin tissue begins to sag, and forehead muscles weaken over time.
